Takfiri crimes return to pre-Islam ignorance: Ayatollah Nasser Makarem-Shirazi

“Unfortunately the… murder of Muslims… and the flames raging in Muslim countries are due to the presence of these Takfiri currents,” Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem-Shirazi said in the holy Iranian city of Qom on Wednesday.

The cleric described the extremists as a tool in the hands of colonial powers, who save them the trouble of direct military intervention in Muslim countries.

Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi waed against the enemy’s plot to promote Islamophobia across the globe by highlighting the grisly murder of people and other crimes committed by the militants.
